Concrete Ready Mix Driver

What is a Concrete Driver?

Our front line workers and the first people on the job site representing the industry. A concrete mixer truck driver takes a specialized truck to construction sites and pours concrete from the mixer. 


The duties of the position could include:

  • Driving in a safe and courteous manner to and from job sites.
  • Inspecting the product to ensure it meets specifications upon delivery.
  • Adding products to the mix manually, when required.
  • Unloading the truck mixer of product under the direction of the customer.
  • Performing various administrative duties including submitting delivery slips to customers, collecting payments for deliveries, and others tasks.
  • Dealing with customers and the general public in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Cleaning the ready mix truck and mixer, both inside and out, following product delivery.
  • Ensuring that the unit meets all safety guidelines at all times.
  • Performing necessary pre-trip inspections.
  • Maintaining an accurate log book

What does it take to be a Concrete Driver?

  • A valid Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
  • At least 3 years driving experience with comparable equipment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented, with a strong commitment to quality standards.
  • Demonstrated record of safe driving and adhering to safety guidelines.
