What is a Concrete Pump Operator?
A Concrete Pump Operator is someone who can drive, set-up, operate, and clean out a mobile or stationary concrete pump.
Responsibilities of a Pump Operator can include:
- Operate concrete pump truck;
- Safe operation of boom;
- Operate a ready-mix truck when required;
- Safe delivery of ready-mix concrete to construction sites;
- General cleaning and maintenance of truck;
- Other duties as required.
What does it take to be a Concrete Pump Operator?
- Driver's license (Class 3 with Air Brake Endorsement);
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience;
- Previous experience operating boom truck and/or hydraulic equipment;
- Excellent customer relations;
- Excellent hand/eye coordination
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
